CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL - TIMOTHY STEFFENS, CRA, OCT-C, FOPS

Enterprise Conversion for Kellogg Eye Center, University of Michigan

IOS did an incredible job converting our 18TB Merge EyeCare PACS database and images to Continuum PACS. There were significant Merge database obstacles to overcome with over 1,700 unique procedures when there should have been only about 30. The IOS team methodically went through each procedure and combined them into 7 archive imports making image management so much easier.

Additionally, Ophthalmic Labs was able to convert our 5 Merge Q5000 and 2 Jaz Eye Stations to OVision capture stations. This was a significant savings because we did not have to purchase new hardware for our fundus cameras.

Our physicians love Continuum PACS and the OCT comparison has been invaluable. With one click, being able to compare today’s OCT to the previous with thickness analytics has increased our efficiency. With Merge it took over 45 seconds for one OCT to load, and then more clicks to view a comparison. With Continuum it takes 1 click to compare 2 OCT exams and both load in 5 seconds.

Lastly, the IOS team worked seamlessly with our hospital IT and Epic interface teams to integrate Continuum within our security requirements and receive Epic orders for modality work list.
