CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL - JASON GRIFFITH OSC

Enterprise OVision Photography Solution

The sunsetting of Windows 7 placed our practice in quite a predicament.  As a retina practice we rely heavily on our Topcon 50 DX/EX fundus cameras for the bulk of our diagnostic imaging.  We were utilizing Merge OIS hardware and software but were informed that there would be no path moving forward that would allow us to continue using Merge products as they were not releasing any further hardware/software components that would be Windows 10 compatible.  The immediate realization was “oh no, we have to purchase 10 new fundus imaging systems.”

After a lot of research and 3 bid proposals later, thankfully I was contacted by Matthew Carnevale with Ophthalmic Labs, Inc. and was pitched an offer that, at first, I thought was too good to be true.  We did our due diligence, vetted the company, and requested a demonstration of their product onsite at one of our satellite offices.  Our request was accommodated quickly and without question and after a very brief remote-assisted install, we were up and running.

The system is exceptionally user-friendly with a very simple but functional interface.  I was initially impressed with the hardware component because finally someone was paying attention and put together a system that had appropriate processing power and adequate storage capacity.  The capture software is minimalistic, which is exactly what we prefer in a busy practice and yet it still allows us to quickly assemble montage images in a very intuitive manner.

Our research department has found that acquiring study certification for multiple reading sites was easily acquired on the OVision system so the conversion was essentially seamless for them.  We were able to integrate the OVision software into our Zeiss Forum system via DICOM without any issues.

My entire department has been especially impressed with the level of support that we have received since implementing the OVision systems.  Technical support is just a simple phone call away.  I can honestly say that without hesitation I would highly recommend Ophthalmic Labs, Inc. and the OVision fundus imaging system for practices of all sizes that still utilize the gold standard cameras in fundus imaging.
